Ummm… You do realize that Honolulu is a city on the island of O’ahu right? And that picture next to “O’ahu, Hawai’i” is definitely not from the East side. And there really aren’t any “secret spots” left near downtown Honolulu, you can get a super detailed map of all the spots from any abc store in Waikiki. Have you ever even been to O’ahu? There are a handful of really secret spots left but none on the south shore.

Another great place to surf and avoid the crowds – Baja Mexico. I’ve never seen more than 10 other guys out in the water at even the more well-known spots like K38 or Salsipuedes, and there are tons of places along the coastline where you can surf in seclusion. I mean, the Longs even found a secret spot north of Ensenada in the last few years, less than an hour south of San Diego!
